Handle Material: Over-molded nylon was chosen for strength and a custom paint and clear coat composition was chosen for beauty and continuation of original Odyssey aesthetics.

Odyssey II uses updated materials that reduce overall weight and weight variation across sizes. As a result, the weight difference between sizes is much smaller, approximately 0.8 oz for the smallest size to 1.0 oz for the largest size, compared to the original Odyssey hook, which ranged from about 1.2 oz to 1.8 oz.
This narrower weight range creates a more consistent feel in the hand across sizes, especially for makers who switch hook sizes frequently during a project.

Tip shape is machined, rather than hand cast and polished, creating consistent tip shaping across all sizes and individual hooks. The room for error or misshaping due to hand polishing has been removed. This tip is a refinement of our classic fusion style, optimized for stitch speed and comfort.
