Assembly

I like to sew on the chocolate chips before attaching the back of the cookie. So grab some dark brown yarn and a needle and embroider lines on your cookie, add a smile and eyebrows. You can also sew the bow on. First take a piece of the same red yarn and pinch the middle of the bow together, then tie the yarn around the bow and tie a knot at the back, now sew the bow in place. Start to sew the back of the cookie onto the front. You will notice that the front of the cookie does have more stitches than the back piece, that is okay as you sew the pieces together just sew a few of the stitches from the front of the cookie together with a stitch on the back of the cookie. And once it is about 3/4 sewn shut stop and stuff your cookie firmly. Sew closed, weave in end. Now stuff the arms and legs, and sew them onto your cookie. Weave in all ends and trim them.

And that's a wrap on Part 1 of the August Amigurumi Sweet Treats CAL! Keep your crochet hook handy though, we will be back here on August 17th for the final part of this sweet CAL!
